HAPPY SCRAPPERS SHARE MORE

The Happy Scrappers met Wednesday at the Attic Window Quilt Shop.  Unfortunately I did not get to join them in sewing, but I did stop by and take pictures.  Don’t you love this fabric?  Cathy was using it to make the Go Bake Something Apron.  The pattern is a Go Fish Pattern by Fishsticks.
Judi A. showed us her finished quilt from the Quilt As You Go class.  It is outstanding.
This is the back where you can see where the blocks were joined.
Judi also showed us this checkbook cover and little pouch.  She must have a machine that does this stunning work!
Speaking of a machine that does beautiful embroidery…Judi also showed us this pumpkin made.  Magnificant!
Judi was working on this snowman panel.  She doesn't let any grass grow under her feet!
Adrienne is finally back from New Zealand.  We missed her.  You can see above, that she is still working on her large basket of pink fabrics.  She says her pile of pink scraps never seems to go down, no matter how many quilts she makes with them.
Vickie S. was making these blocks.  She said she is using a batik Jelly Roll from Hoffman fabrics that she brought at the shop.  She said the pattern is from a link that was previously on the blog.  I’ll have to look for that because I love this pattern.
Diana was working on her blocks from the Slash Four Patch class that she took recently from Vickie S.  I can’t wait to see that quilt finished.  I admire Diana’s stick-to-it ability.  Wish I had that focus.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT:
  • There are two Craft Days scheduled this year at the Attic Window Quilt Shop.  This has always been a popular event and in order to accommodate everyone, Chris added a Craft Day to the calendar.  Originally they were scheduled for Friday, November 21, and Saturday, November 29.  However, things have snowballed.  There are far too many things going on right now and the Craft Day scheduled for Friday, November 21, has been moved to Friday, December 5.  If you prefer, there is still room in the Saturday, November 29.  Just call the shop and let Chris know what you would like to do.  I’m looking forward to this fun event.  You can see what we made last year here and the 2012 year here.
DON’T FORGET:
  • The Jingle Bell Hop is Nov 14 through 22.  Mark your calendar now.  With the purchase of your $5 passport you will receive a free pattern.  Each participating shop has designed an exclusive ornament that you may purchase as well as a table topper kit designed to compliment the free pattern.  Participating shops will have extended evening shopping hours for your convenience.
ON ANOTHER NOTE
  • Shiny Happy World has a pattern and tutorial for a free teddy bear.  I’m thinking gifts!  They are so cute!
Until next time,

Stay Calm! Stay Kind! Stay Positive!
Caroll
