LOOK WHAT YOU CAN DO WITH YOYO’S!

Aren’t these little creatures darling?  Who knew you could use YoYo’s to make something like this?
Last Saturday, during our Sampler meeting at the Attic Window Quilt Shop, Chris demonstrated how to use the various size tools available at the shop to make YoYo's.  Naturally, you can make lots of YoYo’s for a table topper or bed cover, but you can also use them to make this darling monkey.
Or you can make “Frank”.  I’d love to have him to set out during Halloween.
Or you can use them on a table runner like this.  You can get the pattern for the table runner at the shop. I loved seeing the many uses for YoYo’s.

MARK YOUR CALENDAR NOW:
  • The First Annual Jingle Bell Hop will be Monday, Nov. 11 through Saturday, Nov. 16.  The four shops participating are Attic Window, Pressing Matters, Custom Quilts Unlimited, and Queen Bee.
  • Black Friday Stitch-In will be held Friday, Nov. 28, starting at 8 a.m.
  • Craft Day will be held Saturday, Nov. 29, from 9 – 5.  Join us and make some fun Christmas gifts early.  Four to five projects are being planned for the day.  Class time is free but there will be a small fee for project kits.
ON ANOTHER NOTE: Have you visited the Talking Lunch Box Quilts blog?  I just recently discovered it and love what I see.  Calling all Happy Scrappers – take a look at her tutorial for making a mug rug or a hot pad.

Until next time,

Stay Calm! Stay Kind! Stay Positive!

Keep your thoughts above the red line!

I love the yo-yo monkey and Frankenstein! I have a yo-yo clown that my great grandmother made many years ago.

Elsa picked up that monkey today and told me she loved it. :-) I love the Frankenstein. I got that book today, so will try to remember to send you something from it.
