MISSING SASSY

I’m sure everyone will think I’m crazy, but I am going to miss my cat.  We had to have her put down yesterday.  Sassy was my friend who kept me company when I sewed.  She loved to hang over the back of the couch and watch us move about the house.  She made us laugh and I know Mom is missing her too.  Sassy was a good cat who never climbed on the counter or the tables (probably because her butt was so big she couldn't get it up there) and would always ask before hopping into my lap.  She was eleven years old.  It’s part of life, but still hurts.
On a positive note, you might like this. While visiting Pleasant Home I found a link to this darling mug rug. You still have time to make it for Valentine’s Day.

Stay Positive!

Not crazy at all. I was devastated when my last cat had to be put down - he was only 6 and got Cat AIDS. Horrible thing. All the best x

I'm so sorry about Sassy! I've always considered pets just little people with fur, they are family and a loss such as this is just the same as losing a non-furry family member. Again, I'm so sorry for your loss.

Oh, Caroll,
You aren't crazy. Cat lovers will understand. What a pretty kitty you had. I have always had kitties around, and enjoy their antics no matter what age they are.
Take care!

I'm so sorry about the loss of your kitty, and certainly don't think you're crazy at all! I cry for weeks each and every time I lose one of my furry family members (both cats and dogs). {Hugs}

It is not crazy at all. I am a pet lover and currently have two cats..had to put Spanky Jeffrey down last summer and miss him...it is part of life but we still can grieve for our "kids" Sorry you had to do this but I love this picture you posted of her. Spanky used to do that too when the couch was not against the window.

So sorry about Sassy. They are the members of the family that are always there for us.

Oh, Caroll...I am so sorry. I know Sassy wasn't well for a while. I know from personal experience how hard this is. She was a big part of your life for a long time. You are in my thoughts, Caroll. Warmly, Stephanie

Caroll: This is from Elsa: Is that Rosa's dad? Rosa is my cat now. I am just guessing that Rosa was your cat that was adopted by you from the other people we got Rosa from. Rosa was adopted to us and she looks like your cat's baby. I have been having a good time with Rosa. She does not jump out of my hands when I am holding her. PJ jumps out of my hands but not like Rosa. PJ isn't like Rosa at all. I am sorry that your cat died. I hope Rosa never dies.

I am so sorry for the loss of Sassy! Losing a pet is so hard. That is always the problem with loving our animals so much! You and your mom are in my thoughts.

Sorry to hear of the loss of your gorgeous companion. It is hard to lose a cherished pet, we had to put our dog down last year, I still look for her furrry face at the fence when I come home, only to remember she is not there. Thinking of you. xo

Oh Caroll - I'm so, so sorry - it's heartbreaking to lose a beloved pet. Sassy was a gorgeous kitty, I know you will miss her terribly. Big hugs to you and your mum, hon.

I used to call my husband's cat, Hector, his first born. We still talk of him nearly 15 years after his passing. Enjoy your memories -- they linger for a long time and only get sweeter.

So sorry about Sassy. I don't know what I would do without my kitties. They are such good company and great entertainment.

I'm sorry about your losing Sassy.
Our dog, Polly, was 16 when she went to doggie heaven. It was like losing one of our kids.

Ah, Carol, I'm so sorry to read about Sassy. Don't they just wrap themselves around our hearts. It's never easy to say good-bye. I'm sure you gave her a good home and lots of love and have wonderful memories of her. Sending hugs your way.
